Crispy maple tempeh bacon

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 package of Noble Bean tempeh 240g (sliced into approx. 10-12 thin strips 1/4 inch thick)

  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

  • 3 tbsp tamari or soy sauce

  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 1/4 cup water

  • pinch of salt

  • pinch of clove powder

  • 1/4 cup sunflower oil

1 hour

2 servings

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a mixing bowl combine all ingredients, add tempeh.

  2. Let marinate for 1 hour.

  3. Preheat skillet. Add cooking oil.

  4. Add tempeh to skillet and cook until golden brown.
