240 grams Noble Bean original soy tempeh, defrosted and cut into 6 strips

1/4 cup olive oil

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon garlic granules (or finely diced fresh garlic)

2 to 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (lime juice also works)

1 tablespoon water

2 tablespoons Greek oregano (or regular oregano)

INSTRUCTIONS

In a wide mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil, salt, garlic powder, lemon juice, water, and oregano to make the marinade.

Add the tempeh strips to the bowl, ensuring they are well-coated with the marinade. Let them sit for 15-30 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Preheat your BBQ grill to high heat.

Place the marinated tempeh strips on the hot, clean grill and close the lid. Grill for 4 minutes on one side. Open the lid, flip the tempeh strips, and grill for another 4 minutes.

Grill the remaining sides for 2 minutes each to ensure even cooking and grill marks on all sides.

If you want them more grilled, let them cook and rotate often to reach a more golden brown color. Just don't let them burn. Use extra leftover marinade to re-dip your tempeh between each rotation on the grill.

Serve the grilled tempeh strips with your favorite summer meal or as a hot dog with classic toppings. They can also be served with pasta and salad as a meat replacement or enjoyed on their own.
