INGREDIENTS

240 grams Noble Bean original soy tempeh, defrosted and cut into 6 strips

1/4 cup of your favorite brand of store-bought BBQ sauce

1/4 cup water

3 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon Montreal steak spice

Optional: Add 1/2-inch thick slices of yellow onions to the marinade. Grill for 2 minutes on each side and serve with the tempeh.

INSTRUCTIONS

In a shallow dish combine BBQ sauce, water, olive oil, and Montreal steak spice. Mix well to combine.

Add the tempeh strips to the marinade, ensuring they are evenly coated. Allow the tempeh to marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator, or longer for deeper flavor.

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

Place the tempeh strips on the preheated grill and cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side, all four sides, or until grill marks form and the tempeh is cooked through.

Optionally, you can brush some extra BBQ sauce on the tempeh during grilling for added flavor.
